My son is nearly 2 and half, he has suffered with tonsillitis, ear infections and congestion since he was born, he has had over 25 lots of antibiotics since he was born, he has had tonsillitis since the 13th of December ( it is the 14th of Jan today) he is on his 5th lots of antibiotics since it started back in December. Has anyone gone through this themselves or with their kids? I am so afraid they are missing something serious like leukaemia 😢😢

My youngest suffered terribly like this. Tell the GP that you want a referral to an ENT doctor. My son had his tonsils and adenoids out, which worked wonders. He still needed speech therapy though. Don’t be fobbed off.

Medium term. He needs an urgent referral to pediatric ENT. Bacterial tonsillitis can cause problems with heart valves, and ear infections reduce the child's ability to hear and therefore slow down language acquisition and speech.

Short term. Have they swabbed his throat and done a culture with a sensitivity analysis..this tests what antibiotics the bacteria are killed by..you can then switch onto those antibiotics.
