Currently my daughter is struggling with staying dry during the day.

-she has always struggled to stay dry. She says she doesn't often know she needs a wee.
-she is dry overnight.
-she is on a waiting list for a referral but it could be up to a year.
-she is currently wearing special pants. (Bit like pull ups)
-is currently going throught a diagnosis of ADHD

My concern is that she is starting high school this year and am really worried about, her anxiety around her not being able to stay dry.

Has anyone had any experience supporting their child through something similar?

We are thinking about trying to get some private treatment but it's all cost dependent.

I've always started to think this might be an emotional issue as opposed to a medical one.

That sounds stressful, I hope you get the referral soon. Can she just go to the toilet every break time even if she doesn't feel the urge, or is it more frequent than that?

We encouraged her to go regularly. So, she needs to go more regularly than breaks.
