Viral rash - help

Baby is 4 months old and started developing a rash on stomach Tuesday which by night spread to her chest and shoulders, phoned docs yesterday Wednesday as had spread further to neck and chin, she is well and has no other symptoms (asides a random cough or sneeze here and there which she always does anyway). Doctor said it’s a viral rash, no meds or creams required and to give it a week and if it’s not cleared come back or if she starts to get unwell come back. This is the rash tonight it’s still no better and can’t help but worry (FTM) however doctor didn’t seem concerned and assured me it’s definitely viral. Just looking for a bit of reassurance or any advice.

My son had a rash like this at the beginning of December. Took about 5 days to clear. He'd been ill on and off for months because of starting childcare. Gave him Calpol for pain relief and just kept my eye on him. He is absolutely fine. I know it's hard especially as it's your only child but just do what GP said and she'll be right as rain before you know it 😊

Thanks so much for commenting, it’s made me feel much better, I’m just so worried anything to do with her temp or a rash I get myself worked up, but that’s reassuring to hear about you little boy picking up again after 5 days hoping hers will start clearing soon then, and glad he’s feeling much better too ❤️

Have you done the glass test on the rash? Does it disappear when pressed?

No problem. My little boy is 2yrs3months now but he's my first and only child so I know how worried you can get when they're not their normal happy selves. Hope your little one feels better soon 🙏😊
