Watery eye?

Morning all, I collected my little one from his settle session at nursery yesterday and noticed his right eye was watery, they assured me that he hadn't cried at all so I thought maybe he'd just got an eyelash or something in it! This morning it's the same, it's watery and it also looks a bit red/swollen. Any ideas what it might be? Obviously gp is closed today so feel a bit limited on what I'm going to be able to do!

How old is he? A pharmacist should be able to look at him to see if he needs drops

@MissEloiseBridgerton thank you for replying! He's 13 months old, ah ok I might give that a try then - thank you!
