Hello! My 3rd baby is now 6 months old (other kids are 2 and 4) and he has had constant colds/congestion since birth. At first I thought he was just catching a cold off my middle child but this has literally never gone away since birth. It gets really bad and then settles slightly but the stuffy nose is there all the time. I’ve been to the GP more times than I can now remember and I’m just told baby’s are congested because their nasal passages are small.
I started to think he had an allergy so I started buying nutromigen as the docs wouldn’t prescribe but my son literally would not take it what so ever. I tried weaning him on to it gradually but he HATED it. I’ve managed to now get aptamil pepti which he drinks but I’ve seen no difference - I know it has lactose in it so the only other option for milk would be neocate.
he feels so unsettled constantly as can’t clear his nose. His dad and grandad both have sleep apnoea and someone told me I should get his tonsils / adenoids checked out. I just wondered if anyone else has had this with their baby and got to the bottom of it?
I am at my WITS end and with 2 other young children and a husband who has his own business so is rarely around I’m not sure how much longer I can cope.
