Is it fair for a mum to take a newborn baby away from the dad and go to a relatives for 2 weeks while dad gets over a cold? Dad does not think so. Mum wants to protect baby.

The parents you are taking DC to could have a cold brewing and not know. I think YABU

I would say mum needs to get help for her anxiety.

Babies catch colds, it's normal, they build their immune system. My ds had his first cold before he was a week old - not ideal but there's no avoiding it.

Are you breastfeeding? If so, you're giving your baby antibodies to that specific cold
