Eczema and antibiotics

Hi there,
My daughter suffers with eczema and often has flare ups. We've tried steroid creams etc and it's hard keeping on top of it as we're still not sure what the root cause is. However, I've noticed that when she has antibiotics, which is rare but she's just had tonsiltis for example her eczema clears right up. So I'm wondering what the link here could be? Any insight would be appreciated 🙏🏻

Antibiotics can have a mild anti-inflammatory effect. That's most likely what you've noticed.

I have it, too, since childhood, and l am now in my early 50s. Sometimes eczema can become infected and infection doesn't have to mean it looks infected. It might just look red and sore.
