Strong smelling urine

Hi all,

My 3 year old boy has been grabbing at his private parts for the past week complaining it either hurts or is itchy. Tonight I have noticed his urine is foul smelling and lots of it. He is well in himself , no temp and not off food.

what do you think this could be? Does he need to be seen tonight ?

Strong smelling wee can be an indication of high blood sugar, and itchiness supports that. He needs a glucose tolerance test to check for diabetes. I would get him checked asap as if blood sugar is high, ketones are a risk. Good luck.
