16 month bruises

Hi everyone
My son is 16 months and has been walking since before 1. We’ve dealt with the usual shin bruises etc not worried.
I’ve noticed a small bruise on his rib cage area, really small but there. He climbs everything, runs etc. He also keeps getting the same bruises on his outer/back of leg same on both sides so I’m thinking this is from something he is doing/climbing?
of corse, google tells me this area isn’t normal to bruise. Does it always mean something bad if this area gets a bruise?
he is always in my care- not worried about anything like that.
thanks mums

Rib cages don't see as much bruising as elbows or knees but it's still a prominent bit of bone that takes the hit if you are scrambling over something or whack into a table, without much cushioning.

The backs of the legs are much less common than the front, but if there's lots of climbing and squeezing through things. Maybe just keep an eye for when particularly they emerge? I presume he isn't unwell in other ways.
