My daughter has been suffering from what I was told is eczema. In March it started as a very tiny spot which has spread and slowly the tiny spot turned into a big dry, itchy patch. I’ve tried all kinds of steroids and moisturiser and nothing has helped her even once.

What should I do? Could this be an infection?

It could be eczema, it looks like what my son had but he had it on his arms and legs, and he was age 7 plus when it started (but it might not be). In our case le Roche posay wash and moogoo cream (moisturiser- they say it’s all about keeping it moisturised) helped (got rid of at times but it would come back), and staying hydrated.

He went gluten free because of stomach issues and that has HUGELY helped but saying that eczema is awful because what works for one, doesn't for others, my friend says moogoo stung her daughter and my sister suggested e45 and my son had a horrific reaction to it. Best of luck op, the one thing I will say is take advice from pharmacies with a pinch of salt, they try to sell whatever they have and a lot of the time it doesn’t do anything
