So 2 weeks ago my little one (5 months, nearly 6) had a horrible cold/flu as did me and her dad, he spiked a temperature on the Sunday all day really of about 39.
It went and he got better then today (2 weeks later) he’s spiking another temp of 38.3ish, no signs of being unwell, no cold/flu symptoms or cough. I took him to get checked and his vitals were fine, clear chest & throat they just said viral. But again? After 2 weeks of just having something?
I’m absolutely petrified he’s got leaukima as ‘dr google’ said reacurring infections etc, can anyone reassure me?
We’v been seen today at the hospital they didn’t feel the need to do any bloods etc, and I’m still second guessing everything?
I just want to enjoy being a mum without checking temp 40 times a day, I’m wide awake tonight as keep checking her too.
We currently has no temp after nurofen & calpol. I’m a nervous wreck and so worried it’s something sinister. Worrying that it’s not normal to have temp after temp.

Side note - the ear thermometer said 38.3 earlier, the forehead one said 36.6 and under arm said 37. Which is bloody accurate!

It's normal to get virus after virus in first couple of years as they don't have much built up immunity. In ear thermometers are more reliable. If the temp comes down after meds it's fine.
