My 5 year old is covered in blisters - not just hands and feet but backs of knees, elbows, etc. Is there anything recommended to help sooth- she says they are sore not itchy. Her mouth is also full of ulcers. This is a horrible bug, she's really suffering!

Oh it sounds like she has it bad - what a shame.
I dont think I've used topical stuff but what about just giving Calpol?

Yeah we are doing Calpol just didn't know if there was anything to sooth the blisters or to use in her mouth. I have Anbesol but I know that stings quite a bit when first put on, was considering some teething granules to try and numb her tongue a little bit!

I hate hand foot and mouth. I caught it from my eldest a few years ago and it was so itchy. I tried piriton, calamine, Paracetomol and virasooth. What helped the most was wrapping a cold flannel around my hands and feet, or dipping them in a bowl of cold water.
