My LG is almost 4 months old and has had this rash for a week, it has only got this bad in the last 2 days. She has no fever and is completely herself. Could it be a teething rash? Maybe an allergy to fabric softener? She is breastfed and I don’t eat dairy due to her reacting when she was younger (didn’t react with a rash). It’s not this red unless it’s been in water, but you can feel it at all times.

I'm not an expert but eczema? My DD has similar that gets more red when been in contact with moisture (drink, bath etc.)

It looks like eczema OP, my DS has had it since 3 months and gets worse after a bath. You could try using a moisturiser like Chid’s Farm to get on top of it, we use it after every nappy change when it’s flaring up and if that doesn’t work you can get a steroid from the doctor.

Eczema is a big red flag for food intolerances in babies, do you eat oats? I know someone who has a baby who reacted like this when she started having porridge for breakfast.

Hi, I’ve taken her to the doctor today, turns out it is eczema. I use child’s farm at the moment but they have prescribed her with some moisturiser and steroids. Took her swimming the other day and it was AWFUL, which seems to make sense if it gets worse when in water etc. I had oats for breakfast once last week, she seemed to react (not a rash) when I ate diary as she’s breastfed so I stopped eating that when she was about a month old.
thank you for your help :)
