Eczema, acne, something else???

My 12 yo son has sensitive skin and will easily break out in a rash on torso, legs, etc. He has been to the GP who prescribed just emollient bodywash (Dermol 200). Recently he has broken out in this awful "rash" on his face. We thought it could be eczema and were using an over the counter emollient moisturiser but now I wonder if it's acne or something else. He truly has not hit puberty in any other sense, so slightly doubtful but does anyone recognise this kind of rash from their own kids? Feel so bad for him and struggling to get a GP appt.

That looks to me like perioral dermatitis.

What PP said or it could be seborrheic dermatitis if it matches what the rest of his body is like. My DS12 has been suffering with it

Thanks both. Looking at the explanations online I think it is perioral dermatitis. My husband who has eczema was sure our DS had some near his nose and used some of his steroid cream on it. It got better, then worse after that and it seems like the steroid can be the trigger. Off to the GP (although seems like time may be the remedy)...
