Baby Formula

How do you prepare your formula? I swirl mine in the bottle to mix it; the idea of shaking it as it instructs you to seems bonkers. My newborn gets enough wind as it is, let alone if I shook the bottle causing bubbles. New mum here, am I missing something?

If you shake and let it settle the bubbles will not take long to dissipate. The amount of air in them is going to be very small in comparison to hoe much any baby swallows just in the course of feeding / crying, I should think.

Been a couple of years since I've made bottles, my youngest is 3 now but we always shook them, vigorously.
I recall myself and DP holding 4 bottles each and jumping around the kitchen like lunatics shaking all the bottles for the day before they went in the fridge.

Honestly swirling or shaking is fine, as long as the formula dissolves properly.
