UTI / Kidney enlarged and blockage

My lo who is 3 months has been really poorly with a UTI which they found two bacterias. They decided to do more tests as it was unusual for there to be two. Anyway, we were told today that there is a blockage in his kidneys somewhere which is preventing his urine to flow properly and causing a build up which has caused the infection.

We are waiting to hear the next steps on whether this can be fixed quite straight easily or if it’s something more complex with the worst worst scenario being the obvious.

He is on antibiotics and now has to start the next lot of infection prevention antibiotics until the problem is solved.

Has anyone had a similar situation or has more knowledge of this? Obviously worried sick as he’s so little it feels like a lot on his little body.

It sounds similar to what they are checking my wee boy for but different circumstances, as my wee boy hasn't had any symptoms. It has followed on from checks for other things. But it could be valves in his urethra which then causes a blockage and then infection. To check for that it's a simple procedure but he will need to be put under, which is a worry obviously. They can then fix it fairly simply. Try not to worry, I know it's easier said than done.
