Hi everyone, I’ve recently moved my just over 2 week old onto formula, I had a problem with breast feeding and my milk has slowly dried up despite expressing. Now she goes over 24 hours without a poo and seems so uncomfortable and distressed on and off. How long does this last? Is there anything I can do?! 😭

We used baby probiotics with my DS when he was little and it helped a lot. He has CMPA though so that contributed to his issues. Several friends have also used them and they've helped. I'm sure you will get lots of advice on this but this is one thing I remember helping for us. It was a powder sachet that you add to the milk once a day, but think you could do more if needed.

She possibly just has infant dyschezia. If her poo is soft then it's not constipation even if it's been a day or two. My two week old went 5 days with nothing! There's also a good massage you can do that helps, look up baby constipation massage on YouTube
