Strange looking mole on sons back!

Hi, I hope I'm not being too anxious but my little boy has an itchy mole on his back. I noticed it a few days ago and I'm obviously going to ring the GP to check but does anyone have anything similar or know about these things and can put my mind at ease!

Malignant moles in children are pretty uncommon. However any mole that seems new or changing unusually is worth getting checked out. Should be a fairly quick turnaround by GP to seeing you and getting a dermatology review if needed (sometimes they take photos in the practice and send them over).
