Just feeling a little odd, picked 1yr old from nursery today and worker had the incident form in hand. She said they had noticed bruises on his thigh and asked it I'd noticed and where it came from? I didn't see anything this morning when i got him dressed so I said I didn't know.
It's like 2 lines on the back of his thigh.
Part of me is worried that somethings happened at nursery ( although im not worried babies been misstreated just thats he likley fallen down on something)
The other part of me is paranoid they are going to raise it with SS and i cant exlain the bruise. DH had a fall when caring baby to the car previously and SS followed it up as we took baby into hospital for check over. No concern from SS but if its 2 things on the system!
I think is where the bruise is. If it was on the front it would be eaiser to understand that me fell on something.
Just after some reassurance

I take it he’s walking? Most likely he was cruising and plopped back down on top of a toy or something that was on the floor, which is pretty standard stuff for a 1YO. I wouldn’t give it a second thought.

Yes he's just taking his first 5 proper steps before he plops down on his bum! So I agree with you. In the moment I felt so bad that I didn't see the bruise this morning and didn't know how it happened. I'm sure it must have happened at nursery, which is fine but the wording was they were reporting an existing bruise.
