Child sleeps through vomiting

Just gone into DS7 room to check on him before I go to bed, and he's been sick all in his bed. But he's slept right through it!!! Woke him up and he was distressed when he realised what had happened. He's such a heavy sleeper. Will sleep through thunder, fireworks, dropping something in his room. Anything!
It just makes me worry that he can be sick so heavily, but not wake up. This has happened a few times over night throughout his life. He's taken a while to be dry at night too as he sleeps so heavily, he can be wet for ages and not wake up

Anyone experienced this before? Luckily there was no more sick last night and he's perfectly fine today!

I did this at a similar age. My niece did too. My DD used to. We all grew out of it. It's really grim for you both but I think it's probably normal. Always such a relief when vomit goes in a convenient receptacle 😅

I had a schoolfriend whose little sister did that. The parents bought some sort of an alarm thing that was designed to alert parents/carers to bedwetting.
