Dd has been recommended to get one.

Can anyone recommend one for young singers?

Thanks

What are you planning to put in it?

We used a Vicks Steam inhaler for treatments for voice issues but that's not a nebuliser.

It didn't seem to help much anyway!

Interesting! Her singing teacher suggested getting one

I think because she's had a cough all term!

If your child needs a nebuliser then they will be prescribed one on the NHS. We have a pariboy nebuliser that we use hypertonic saline, dornase and antibiotics for. I honestly wouldn't recommend using one without seeking proper medical advice as they can irritate the airways if you don't use the correct dose of solution. It is also only effective if you do airway clearance therapy in conjunction with it, which again you will need to be advised by a professional on.

With the greatest respect, your child's singing teacher is not medically qualified and should not be giving out this advice. If you are concerned by your child's cough, get checked out by a GP, there are many more treatments they would want to try first before going down this route.

I actually just saw a Reel about this today! I'd never heard of it before. Here's the one they were using:

Apparently it's especially for singers. Who knew?
