Worms in babies poo?

So my little boy hasn't been very well for the last two weeks.
It started as diarrhea and then he started to get a temperature about a week after and it's not he knows and generally just feeling rubbish.
His normally quite good with a cold he'll just sleep through it so it was quite unlike him to be so irritable.
The doctors said it's a viral infection. Although something's telling me it's more just with how unsettled he is.

So when the diarrhoea started I took a picture of it because the colour was really strange and had black bits in. Although when I looked up about it it said it could be banana which he was eating a lot of around that time.
Although something made me look back again and I can see little white threads, they wasn't moving at the time.

Could this be a type of worm? And could it be causing him to feel so rubbish. He poor bottom is so sore and we can no longer yet that yellow nappy cream that worked wonders

Sorry about the gross photo

Black bits can signify a bleed. The other bit

*bits look like worms. I'd book a Dr appointment.

I don't think it's worms. If he's still having diarrhoea now I would take him back. That's a long time for a little one.

I think this might be the same cream with a change in packaging?

@anxietythroughtheroof yeah it is a long time and his red raw. The doctor gave us steroid cream but it's hurting him so much when I put it on I think I should stop using it.
It the amount his pooing that worrying me really. I'm surprised the doctora didn't worry about it a bit more. They just want a wee sample which will be fun to get

I would wash his bum with warm water every time he poos if your not doing that already and pat dry. The welda Calendula Baby & Child Nappy Change Cream is amazing and I always recommend. I would take his back to the GP snd show them this picture. I hope your little one gets better soon. Xx
