Hi all, just looking for some support. Our baby has RSV Bronchilitis and was intubated in ICU, she is in HDU now and recovering, tube has been removed. However she's very distressed now and seems to have a sore throat? Has anyone had a baby in a similar situation? I just don't know how long it will take her to get back into her normal routine and happy self. Thanks in advance x

Hi my daughter was never ventilated but she had respiratory support when little. Anyway I suspect it's very common for a sore throat to occur after having something placed into your airway. How long ago was the tube removed? Have you been able to speak to staff about this? I imagine she's likely to be uncomfortable for a couple of days after all that. Hope she recovers soon.
