Testing / functional doctor

I am trying to find a functional doctor or a testing clinic for my 5 year old son, who has had a myriad of challenges over the years.

We have seen huge gains in manage his diet very closely and I'd go as far as to say I'd probably ace a nutritionist / homeopath qualification exam!

Despite gains, he seems to have had a sudden set back - he got a really nasty cold and off the back of it he's started to stammer, have aggressive outbursts, isn't sleeping and is generally all over the place.

I want full spectrum tests - hair, blood, stool and urine. We've had NHS genetic bloods and was supposed to have more due to something being flagged but I could never get it booked and it's gone on for a while now.

We are happy to undertake the tests ourselves, and then seek out an appropriate medical professional once we have results, and a general interpretation.

We would also be happy to see a functional doc who could administer those tests.

But we are struggling to find anyone - either SW (Bristol, Bath) or London. We could probably do the midlands too (Birmingham).

Any recommendations? I am a member of various biomedical parenting groups but they are largely populated by Americans.

Thanks

I would say on the whole the reputation of "functional doctors" is of supplying placebos and keeping you busy while nature cures the disease, while relieving you of your money. It's completely wild west with no quality control. "full spectrum tests" is a bit meaningless, any test should have a specific diagnostic hypothesis in mind and I have never heard of any benefit from hair testing for pretty much any medical presentation in children.

I haven't heard of "biomedical parenting" and Google is not helpful, could you explain more?
