Baby Shudders

Hi there

My 7 1/2 month old DS over the last couple of weeks has started having like shudders as if cold water is being poured on him. It lasts a couple of seconds and he did it quite a few times the other day then hasn't again till this morning.

It seems to happen with me than Dad so it could be overstimulation as I sing and play more & he does go a bit daft with me or maybe I'm more observant than my partner

I have got a video which I've sent to HV so awaiting a reply. I've tried to take more videos but as soon as he sees my phone & recording he stops what he's doing & just stares at the phone.

Just wondering if anyone has had the same with their LO?

Finding this website a godsend since I had him as he's my 1st.

Yes my son did this, when he was having a wee!
When my daughter started doing it I wasn’t too worried but then she started doing them in very clear clusters. She started doing other abnormal movements too and has had 2 EEGS- both are clear and normal.
We have a follow up with neuro in Jan, i am not worried about it, she still does the shudder but it’s definitely when she is weeing.
You can google baby wee shivers and find loads of threads. Xxx

Thank you for the reply.

The Dr called me yesterday & said it doesn't look serious. My son is on the 99th percentile for height & weight so isn't very mobile yet as he's so heavy so Dr thinks it could be him expending his energy.

They are funny little creatures, they do a lot of weird things. My mind always goes to the worst which I have to stop doing as I'd be a nervous wreck.
