Cold virus toddler - long term temp

She has had on and off temperatures since Tuesday eve. She’s seen the gp twice this week who said she’s not got anything bacterial and she’s fighting a virus. But still getting temps on day 5 of the illness. She’s fine in herself, just warm, snotty, bad cough and a bit off food (not drink). Would you take her to an out of hours tomorrow if it persists or let it ride it out? She's had the illness since Monday and the highest the temperature has been was last night at 38.4

No I wouldn’t, I’d keep going with regular painkillers and fluids/light diet/rest and see how she is on Monday

My DD once had a temperature for 14 days due to a viral illness. The only thing that finally stopped it was stopping Calpol etc to try and bring the temperature down. If they are comfortable, a temperature isn’t harmful and sometimes it’s better to let the body ‘break’ the temperature on its own.
