Hi, my 5 year old girl suddenly erupted in bright red spots that look like they have pus, she has already had chicken pox, went to the doctors and they don’t know what it is but gave antibiotics so they don’t get infected. She is not poorly at all, but more keep turning up, any ideas ?

*that was meant to say call 111

AutumnFroglets · 16/11/2024 09:10

My first thought was mozzie bites. Has she been running in long grass etc?

Lifeglowup · 16/11/2024 09:11

Insect bites? I would go and see a pharamcist.

AtomHeartMotherOfGod · 16/11/2024 09:16

They look like they could be bites. I hate to say this but they are kind of in a line, so I would check their mattress for signs of bed bugs.

Hopefully nothing and there are many childhood spot causing conditions, like molluscum etc. These don't seem to have the hollow like I've seen in other pictures of that condition, though.

Wishiwasatailor · 16/11/2024 09:16

Are they itchy?
has she been unwell recently?

Pandasnacks · 16/11/2024 09:22

They look like bites, have you get pets? (And therefore flees)

Wishiwasatailor · 16/11/2024 09:30

perhaps Erythema multiform?

Disneymum90 · 16/11/2024 14:12

Doctor said it’s not bug bites , I have been in her bed and I don’t have any, no pets and no long grass ! I just have no idea

Are they itchy?

I asked about the long grass as I always got bitten running through the rough grass at parks. We've had sunny(ish) weather and a few waterborne insects might have gotten a fresh leash of life and sought out dinner. My mozzie bites as a child looked like this, big red disc with a slightly pussy centre. Think my mum salt water bathed them and put calamine lotion on for the itchiness.

Disneymum90 · 16/11/2024 15:15

She says they are itchy and sore, but she isn’t scratching a lot. They started off from her armpits, I thought it was eczema but then it went every where

Have they been in a hot tub recently?

DrunkTinkerbell40s · 16/11/2024 22:36

Did they have chicken pox very mildly? Could it be chicken pox again? They look very large though... it's very odd!

Mumoftwo2022 · 17/11/2024 00:04

Could be mollescum.has she got any smaller spots that aren’t yet like this. As they do get quite “angry” before they disappear
