Pain after surgery

My son had surgery on Sunday, 10th November, for testicular torsion. We came home Wednesday, 11th November. He feels sick and has bad pains in his groin and belly since waking up after a nap he feels like he needs to poo and wee but cant. I have called WestDoc just waiting for a nurse to call us back. I have given him ibuprofen and paracetamol. I am in two minds whether I should just take him to A&E or wait for the GP to see him. We have just made him a hot water bottle too. he also has a fever so I am thinking he has an infection in his groin

Id take him in if he has a fever.

Canwehavesunshineplease · 15/11/2024 18:41

@bubonic I’m inclined to agree, sounds like it may well be an infection

Thank you they have called us back they also think its an infection and want to see him at 7:30. He has been trying to go for a wee/poo (sorry maybe TMI) for awhile and feels like he still really needs to go. I also think maybe an infection I guess in the wound
