On antibiotics for cellulitis, now a rash elsewhere

DS (12) was diagnosed with cellulitis yesterday - the infection is on the side of his waist. He's had 5 doses of antibiotics in 24 hours. He feels fine in himself, perfectly normal except that the infected part is sore and itchy. The GP said to bring him to A&E if he develops a temperature or becomes lethargic, or the inflammation spreads.

He has just come to me and shown me a rash on his neck and torso, of tiny itchy lumps. He still feels well in himself aside from that (and the original infection).

Are we still in 'keep an eye on it' territory? The rash really does seem like a very minor thing, and the fact that he feels fine is good, but I know cellulitis can spread and be very serious. I don't want to subject him to A&E unnecessarily.

Has he had the antibiotic before? If not I'd be worried about an allergy

Ring 111. They will tell you where to get it seen. Might be at a GP hub.
