Shaking leg in baby

Hi,

My daughter is 10 weeks old and occasionally her leg seems to involuntary shake for a couple of seconds and then stops. I think it normally happens after a feed when she's falling asleep.

Im not sure if it's both legs or just one, should have taken a note of each time it has happened. It's probably happened a handful of times since she's been born and there isn't any particular pattern to it.

I spoke to the HV today who wasn't sure so I've got a drs appointment for the end of the week. Wondered if I should try and get it sooner or if the end of the week is ok. She seems fine in herself.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Thanks

I haven't but I would try and video it if you can. I always think of these things afterwards so thought I would mention it so you have something to show the doctor!

My DS had this at about 6 months. I videoed it, showed GP and then pediatrician and it's wasn't anything concerning (can't remember what they said it was though!) I think the end of the week is ok but equally if you're concerned definitely try for sooner. Hope everything is ok, I know it's worrying Flowers

I might phone tomorrow morning in case they have any appointments available on the day but if not just wait until Friday.

I'll try and video it next time it happens but it's so random and doesn't last long either. Hopefully she'll do it again before Friday!

I wish I'd taken a note down of every time it's happened and which leg it was 🤦
