1 year old shaking when woken up

Today my almost 14 month old fell asleep in the car, when we arrived at the shops she woken up with the car stopping.
We got her out and sat her in a high chair in the coffee shop, I noticed she was a little shakey like she was cold and her bottom lip was quivering as if she was freezing but she wasn’t cold. It really scared me! So much so we ended up coming home.

background- she has had 2 clear EEGs after episodes of spasms when she was 9/10 months. Not sure if these are related to anything that’s happened in the past but no abnormalities have been found.

from googling I’ve found a few other threads of people saying their children have been shakey after being woken up.

has anyone else experienced this? Already left a voicemail with the neurologist secretary just incase.

thanks

Hi there, my DS5 went through a stage of doing this at the same age and I did exactly the same googling as you! He is absolutely fine, no issues at all, and he grew out of it within maybe a year max.

And my DS1 has just been diagnosed epileptic and he does NOT have shaking episodes upon waking, for what it's worth...!

My DS does this sometimes too. I have wondered is it due to low blood sugar. He’s usually fine after he’s had his milk and some food. I know myself I would feel a bit shaky sometimes when I first get up.
