Stomach bug

We've not had a stomach bug in our house for a while so I've forgotten what it can be like. Also I'm going through a period of health anxiety so my view can be skewed.

DD8 started vomiting almost exactly 48 hours ago. No loose stools, in fact she hasn't opened her bowels since then (not uncommon for her to go this long, and I suppose she's not much in her to digest). No complaints of pain.

Her vomiting has been sporadic though - she can go hours and hours vomit free, and also overnight but then if she moves off the sofa for example or gets up out of bed she can vomit as if it is unsettling her stomach. She's not too bad in herself, she is eating bits here and there and drinking, not that it always stays down but it does stay long enough for some to be absorbed. Is passing urine fine. Is lethargic and spending most of the time on the sofa but interspersed with some periods of energy/laughing and joking with us. Does not appear dehydrated.

I thought gastro bugs tended to be worse for the first few hours then get better, not be up and down?

They can be up and down. Plenty of rest/drinks/light food/painkillers/keep warm and see how she is on Monday.

Probably just a weirdly presenting bug, but another thing to consider seeing as it's affecting her when she moves. Couldn't be a balance thing? Ear infections/vertigo?
