Is this right? Child’s fever

Recently took my DD 4 months to the gp as she had a fever of 39.7. They did a quick check of her but said not to be too worried as her hands and feet were still cool, and to only be concerned if these were also hot? They suggested her temperature was down to our house being warm. A couple of days later she got cold and flu symptoms so I’m guessing she had a virus.

The medics are always concerned when my little one's hands and feet are cold when he's running a temp, in fact the NHS website tells you it is a warning sign that shouldn't be ignored https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/baby/health/is-your-baby-or-toddler-seriously-ill/

Yes as PP says, that’s nonsense
