So DD has enlarged turbinates basically, we've been back and forth with ENT for years, all they do is look up her nose with a camera, confirm the same thing the previous ENT consultant did and then represcribe a nasal spray, we've had various ones, Avamys seems to work the best all though not great but over the last few months even that has not worked at all, so my daughter is constantly sniffing and blowing, trying to clear her nose.
She's 13 and gets some comments from her peers in class, she has already had numerous bullying issues in the past since starting secondary, I do worry that her nose will make it worse.
We've not had any explanation as to what's causing it, they've never mentioned if she will grow out of it, just prescribe the spray and off we go again. Surely she can't be expected to not breathe out of her nose for the rest of her life? I was considering buying an air purifier for her room, maybe that will help? Sometimes allergy tablets help sometimes they don't, it's a bit hit and miss really. Does anyone have the same problem and found any remedies?
