Pain in abdomen

Our 13 year old DSstarted complaining about stomach pain since last Thursday. The pain comes and goes and he complains it as a throbbing pain. The pain is concentrated just below his belly button and the pain is not moving.Pain got so bad Sunday evening that we rang 111 and they advised us to take him to A&E.A&E checked for urine sample and referred us to out of hours GP.GP checked him and advised that it could be appendicitis and hence re referred us back to A&E for blood tests.A&E took bloods and checked his tummy and suggested that it could be appendicitis as when she was pressing hard on his right side of the abdomen,he reported pains. From A&E we were transferred to the paediatric ward and the doctors at the ward advised that his blood test was all normal and so was his urine and hence they ruled out appendicitis. His pain was so worse that he could hardly walk.Dr suggested that it could be due to constipation. He doesn’t pass his bowels everyday and he was a bit constipated the night before and hence was prescribed Movicol.Since coming back from hospital he has passed his bowel twice and no issue of constipation.Fast forward tonight and he was crying uncontrollably. We were in hospital for 6.5 hrs until early morning and not sure how we both managed to work full time so we decided that we will give him paracetamol and hot water bottle as our bodies simply can’t function without another night of no sleep. He has fallen asleep now but I will be ringing in the morning to get an appt with the GP. I was wondering if anyone here came across similar symptoms for their DS/DD and what were the diagnosis. Thanks in advance

Hi OP I thought appendicitis too. You know your own child best. I would see how he is tomorrow and go back to A and E in the morning.

I don't think having 2 poos necessarily means he isn't still constipated
