DD 11 temp over 39 for 5 days?

DD 11 came back from school shivering Wednesday, she also had a headache and by the evening she was achey all over. Next day she was the same, slept most of the day, on and off nausea. It’s now Sunday night and she’s still the same only addition is a wet chesty cough which started yesterday and is now constant. Her temp is coming down with Calpol and calprofen but I’ve been giving it to her every 4 hours throughout the day since Wednesday. I’ve done 2 covid tests spread apart and they’re both negative, she has no sore throat or earache. Feels like a sort of flu to me but I’m starting to get worried about this temp. Anyone know of any illnesses like this going around right now? It’s hands down the worst shes ever felt with an illness.

To add her temp has been hovering around 39.7 in the evenings when it always seems to shoot up.

I would take her to the doctor to be on the safe side.

After 5 days of ongoing fever plus the new chesty cough, I’d probably get her seen if I could. Keep her hydrated

Get her seen. 5 days is too long to not at least call 111. Hope she gets well soon.

5 days of temp needs to be seen by doctor as most probably a bacterial infection.

My husband had something that sounds like this and it was pneumonia. So get her checked asap.
