Hi everyone on Monday my son came down with a fever randomly no other cold or flu symptoms we are away on holiday in the Caribbean so I took him to the children's hospital they took a blood test to check for infections and said his bloods wasn't showing any bacterial infections just showing he had. Viral after that day his temp went by itself he was fine and happy until now all of a sudden his temp has raised not fever level he felt warm so I took the his temp and it was at 37.7 so rising I quickly gave him calpol I'm really worried we are leaving in a week time

I do remember a few days ago him playing with someone with a cold not sure if he just picked up that or it's a rebound from his fever he had Monday

Any tips thank you

Calm down. 37.7 is nothing to be concerned about. Treat the child not the number on a thermometer is what doctors say.

You are massively overreacting. It's just a slightly raised temperature.
Keep him cool and make sure he has plenty to drink.

Agree about over reacting. Also, you don’t have to give calpol to get a temperature down, treat the child not the number. Look at how they are in themselves, are they unsettled, miserable, feeling rotten then see if calpol helps.

You don't need to give calpol for a temperature. A temperature is the body's way of fighting infection. But 37.7 is nothing to worry about.
