Hello all,

would like your opinion please. My daughter who is 13, autistic, ADHD and dyspraxic, started her periods about 6 months ago. She hates them, to the point of her having meltdowns every time of the month and struggling to cope.

We have a GP appointment booked to discuss her going on the pill, NOT because she is sexually active (she is NOT) but because she struggles so much.

Just wanted your opinion please? What would you do? Is there a way to stop periods without going on the pill?

Thank you

I think it’s good idea

How did you get on with GP?

We are considering this for DD. She can't drive anything while on period as she so overwhelmed and stressed.
I thought it would ease over time but if anything each moth is worse than the previous

Dd went on the pill at 14 due to horrendous periods. Nurse told us being 14 was difficult enough and if there was a fix why wouldn't you take it.
Upgraded to the implant at 15.
