Sever's

Hello,

does anyone have any experience with Sever's at all? My 11yr old son, a keen footballer, has recently been diagnosed with it and he suffers with severe heel pain. He has been recommended the usual insoles/stretches/ibuprofen etc.. but they are barely helping. He has county football trials soon and is very anxious that he will be in too much pain.
Anyone have any recommendations for relief? A massager/foot spa/anything?!

Thank you

Is your ds very tall for his age? My dd2 was diagnosed with this when aged nearly 11 and has now grown out of it thank God! It took about a year I think. She is very tall for her age and has been growing quickly, hence the severs.

She had to wear gel insoles and was given lots of stretching exercises by the physio. It was worse in one heel compared to the other. All better now though.

Good luck with it. There is hope!
