One of my 7yr old daughters nipples feels a slight “hardness” behind it compared to the other? Anyone have any idea what this could be?

The beginning of a breast bud? My daughter had this for a while aged 9 or so. It does seem quite early but they do say puberty is starting earlier these days.

It’s a breast bud which is perfectly normal in a 7 going on 8 year old ( if she was much younger and showing other signs of early puberty then it would be a concern)

It’s only on one nipple though? That ok?

I remember my mum taking me to the doctors for the same thing when I was in primary school. Just one. Was a breast bud and the other one caught up eventually!

Probably a breast bud, and yes, they almost always appear on one side before the other. Some girls say they're a little bit tender but it shouldn't be red or inflamed. If you're worried, your GP is unlikely to mind checking her for you - I was typically asked to examine two or three normal breast buds a year.
