3yo stye (pic included!)

My 3 yo has has this stye for 5 weeks. Dr first gave antibiotic cream, then 2 courses of antibiotics which hasn't helped and it's just getting worse. I don't want her to keep having antibiotics and she's otherwise fine apart from it hurting her. I feel like it's a clogged eyelash or oil gland or whatever. Would I be crazy to give it a wipe with some sterile cotton in the hope it drains/pops? It's hurting her every day and I don't want to keep going back to the Dr!

Have you tried a hot compress & gentle massage? Obviously not too hot but a warm compress and then rubbing with something slightly rough to exfoliate (like a dry flannel or towel) might just help it on its way

Yes we have tries the warm compress but the more the weeks go on the less tolerant she is of that as well. Thank you for the suggestion I'll keep trying to do it.

Agree, I would put a hot (obviously not too hot!) flannel or something on it if she’ll let you.

I think it's at the point where the antibiotics have done their job and brought it to the surface and now a warm flannel a couple of times a day will help it drain.

So when putting her jumper on this morning it burst 👀 then this evening while wiping with a warm cloth more puss with a tint bit of blood came out. It looks like it's got more to give but she can't tolerate it for long at all so hopefully now it'll heal by itself. Hope it's not going to become a chronic issue for her! Thanks for the advice.
