Hey we are first time parents my partner and I and sometimes we don’t understand certain aspects of what he should and shouldn’t be doing until after.
My son always seemed quite clever with his speech but a little bit slower with motor skills (not behind but at the end of the spectrum, he’s just starting to get in to crawling position and his main transport is rolling fast across the room and army crawling backwards to line himself up) One thing we always thought was his speech was advanced. He said Dada, Hiya, Yeah, No all quite early and is very talkative. But I’ve never heard him repeat these things like this (dadada, bababa etc), never heard him say baba at all actually. he says mama sometimes when upset only. He also can echo when I say “rawr” or certain other things. He can wave, high five, dap on command without using the gesture. He responds to his name as well.

is this an alarm bell? I lose a lot of sleep over his development and then he does it and on to the next thing for me to worry about!
