My 9 year old & tonsillitis

My dad gets tonsillitis back to back and was finally offered an operation at I time that she had stopped getting it frequently like before so I turned down operation thinking she sour grown it

Cut long story short , she is currently recovering from one which kept her home from school for a week she is still taking antibiotics and only went back to school today (she didn't go throughout last month)

Now tomorrow is swimming lessons at school and I wondering if perhaps she should skip swimming for tomorrow just to allow her body more time to recover properly and I don't want her to catch something else while recovering in a public pool.

What do you all think please

Get them taken out now. It's a much harder and more dangerous operation for an adult.

Ok thanks

But what is your opinion re swimming tomorrow?

Only you can decide really. I don't push mine to do these things if they don't seem up to it.

I never send mine with colds or sore throats. I’m not sure if it’s logical but to my mind the cold water doesn’t help x

Yes swimming probably does not help when they have cold.

I googled it and found that it is not advisable to go swimming when in antibiotics & I will add when ones is hold or sore throat because it does not help one feel better at all.

@SharpLily I did not say I want her to go

I don't want her to go because she's on antibiotics and I don't think she recovered fully
But she wants to go
.
In the end, I stopped her from going l
