Chicken pox or bug bites

A bit of a weird one here. My daughter had a mild case of chicken pox last year. It definitely was as lots of her classmates had it then her brother caught it from her 2 weeks later.

Anyway fast forward and 3 days ago my daughter had some spots that looked like bites. Small red spots surrounded by a larger red one. There was about 5 of them spread 3 on her legs/bum and one on her chest (see first 3 photos). Yesterday another spot appeared and then another one on her arm (see last photo) and hand today. She is under the weather (slight temperature, runny nose etc).

I've washed all her bedding and clothes and can't see any signs of bed bugs. Due to being cold she's in long sleeves.

Does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

The rash is too wide to be chicken pox, looks like a bite of some kind, I thought horsefly at first but those are agonisingly painful. See a GP.

That's an infected bite. Your child needs antibiotics.

My DD was bitten by a spider during the holidays and the next day had big red rings like that. She needed a course of antibiotics

Thanks @QuotetheRaven. I'll try the pharmacy in the morning. If they don't have a clue I'll speak to the GP. Definitely a weird one.

@ArghhhhhLifeIsHard the first few spots with the red rings around them have settled down - you can see the difference in the pictures. I was going to take her to the pharmacy but phone the GP instead.

Bite. Both my son and I have a strong reaction to mosquito bites.

Not bed bug bite though!

They look very similar to DD's. GP will be best shout as they can give antibiotics if needed, definetly looks like some sort of bite. Hope your DC is okay, mine was very unwell from it x

This is good news. I have no idea what or how she is getting bitten, it's under clothes and she's wrapped up outside (we live in Scotland).

I'll do another sweep of her room tomorrow. The rest of us are all fine.

They look like the mozzie bites I have been getting. The buggers are particularly voracious this year. Some of mine have a blister in the centre and they itch like hell!

Your poor daughter. I'll skip the pharmacy and go straight to GP. She is under weather with a cough/cold which might indicate she is fitting something.
