For anyone that has spent a prolonged time in hospital with their child which is a long way from home...... what are your tips on what to take with you?
Things to think about that I might have missed as we won't be able to get home for the duration of our stay.
Thanks

I did a 2 week long hospital stay with DD, 4 hours away from home - made worse by lockdown so no visitors to bring anything that I’d forgotten!

Essentials for us were:
Blankets + pillows from home, much comfier than hospital ones
Eyemask + earplugs for both of you
Extension lead - never enough plugs in hospital rooms
Long phone/iPad charging cables to reach your child’s bed
Any favourite drinks + snacks for your child. Anything quick and easy to make is good for yourself - I brought lots of instant porridge pots. Tea bags!
Travel mug + cutlery for yourself. There was a parents kitchen but all of the utensils etc were filthy.

This is really helpful thankyou.
So much to remember and too far away to go back to get things. Going to end up needing a suitcase Blush

We brought two massive ones! Thankfully had a spacious room so it wasn’t an issue
