Broken wrist help

Hi,
Ds (high school)
Has broken his wrist, his dominant hand.
He managed writing today but is in agony this evening.
Is there anything school can do to help?

When my daughter broke her right wrist she was given a laptop to type on.

Dictation software?

Ask the school?

Have you actually asked the school what assistance they can offer?

He can type with his left hand so that's reasonable adjustment?
No help was offered to him today.

The school have not been helpful in the past so I'd much rather ask what can be done and then ask school for something suitable for him.
He's very well known to the school due to his health

They've given him a leave early note that's it.

Do the teachers use PowerPoints? If so, could they provide printouts of them, for him to learn from?
