Prunes for constipated child just before bedtime?!

My son has constipation history which was resolved by 1 year of movicol🧐. He is complety weaned off movicol and now he goes daily but sometimes if he misses, I give him P fruit. Today the whole day he was farting so I expected a poo and I even done toilet sit but with no avail. Anyways I gave him 2 prunes before bedtime and then he brushed his teeth ? Can prunes as a snack before bedtime harm you? He is 5 years old. Couldn’t find anything online and no I am beating myself up for giving it this late

Why on earth would any food before bedtime harm him? Do you have health anxiety OP?

My only concern would be that you may not have left long enough between eating and brushing his teeth (can lead to enamel damage if done often) however this could happen with any food at any time of day.

Prunes are fine as a snack. Hopefully this will help produce a poo in the morning - I’d give him another couple of prunes at breakfast & do so for a few days

He started vomiting at 2am so I think some sort out of stomach bag from school ! 😭 I saw the prunes in his vomits so I know he didn’t even digest it for it to cause any ill effects! Ergh
