My daughter suffers from severe allergies and from her diagnosis i changed my diet to be the same so she never felt isolated and told her i had the same illness to make it simpler, now my ex is telling her that i am a liar
Was i wrong? She is eight now

This is bonkers. My DC had
multiple food allergies.

is she under a clinic? If so not yiu need fo see them to get some help to talk to her properly about allergies.

If she's 8 and has had a restricted diet due to allergies you should be under a clinic.
Does she have yearly skin prick and blood testing? What food introductions have you tried?
If your ex is being abusive in this way and you have a dietician and other consultant reports on her allergies I would personally use this to stop all contact. If she has severe allergies he's putting her life at risk.

Wait, you told her you have allergies too when you don't?

If so, yes that is wrong. She needs to fully understand her different needs and how to manage them. In life she will often have to make careful choices whatever other people think of that choice (and there will be a lot of people with "opinions")

Why did you lie?

@LostittoBostik i think the OP means she told her daughter she had the same allergies when she does not and her ex is calling her out on it.

But totally agree with you about the information given.
