Cleaning babies mouth before teething

Hello all,

Suddenly having a little worry that I have never cleaned babies gums and tongue! Came across a video online recommending to do it and I had never even heard of it, no family, friends, doctors midwives mentioned it. Maybe it should have been my own common sense to do it, I just didn’t realise it was necessary until first teeth and solid food came in.

Major guilt!

Any recommendations on what to use would be great, I have seen dental wipes which look quite good?

thanks all

Really? I never cleaned DD’s mouth before teeth and she’s got the most epic natural smile at 27.

There's no need to clean the baby's tongue and gums, don't worry.

Unless you've been giving your baby Ribena and Haribo I think you'll be fine. There's enough stuff to clean.
