My DS had a super restless night muttering about spiders everywhere and needed resettled countless times. Wasn’t till this morning I realised he was hot and took his temp and it’s 39, no obvious symptoms at all and says nothing is sore🤷‍♀️what’s it likely to be?! Every time he’s been ill before there are symptoms so I’m confused!

Take him to the gp if he's hallucinating surely?!

Wouldn’t call it hallucinating, just really vivid dreams. Not unusual for him at all when younger with a temp. He’s now sitting up watching tv and is fine apart from high temp so don’t think a gp will offer an emergency appt at all.

Sometimes having a high temp can make you a bit delirious.

Prob a virus that his body is fighting off causing the high temp. Other possibility is a bacterial infection but would likely have symptoms.
